Poor guy. I'd be on the phone with my lawyer asap. http://my350z.com/forum/lounge-off-...op-experience-details-inside-350z-ruined.html
meh 350Z the new Honda ha ha ha jk that is definitely worse then anything I have seen... I mean rattle can or fence painter spray job has been better
lmao that's horrible. But then again, that's what you get for being a ricer and putting on a cheap body kit.
I WOULD LIKE TO POINT OUT TO ALL FORUM GOERS THAT THE "IMPORT IMAGE" THAT IS REFERRED TO IN THE LINKED THREAD IS NOT THE IMPORTIMAGE WE HAVE AS A VENDOR ON THIS SITE.
The guy just went ahead and made a ton of holes in his car without any discussion first. Also, the paintwork itself is AWFUL. The wasn't masked at all, the runs are hideous, the kit wasn't sprayed with an adhesion promoter at all, and I could go on for hours. It will take A LOT of work to make that car normal again.
WTF? lmao. Ridiculous. There are just too many things wrong with this situation. I'm with Eli though. This would have been my first clue to stay far far away:
True. The guy doesn't seem like the brightest chap. Little did he know what he was getting into. Now the car is forever screwed.
No doubt. I definitely feel bad for him. Only read the first couple pages, but the OP seemed a little too calm about it. I'm sure he'll change his tone as soon as he gets it to a real body shop to assess the damages.
wow.. that is so bad that its funny.. how the hell would he even pick it up.. id be like u fix this or give me my money.. i could do better job with scissors and 3M double sided tape and spray cans..
indeed.....sheet metal screws would have been a massive improvement. also looks like "raising the door" involved opening it, and putting a jack under it.
I have always wondered how these bodyshops are able to install things without using any screws. LOL Holly Doggy Pie..........These pictures bring back bad memories. Not bad for a bunch of Kindergardeners aka WMC419. I had to look twice after seeing them screws being used, I thought I was looking at a home remodeling project. Looks like they didn't have to use a stud finder for this project.
i'm only to the tip of the first page.. and as soon as the "shop" guy said "jackstands, please lift your car" I would have taken it to someone with a lift or "I test drove your car around the (COMPLEX)" this guys sounds like hes out of an apt. WHY... would you pressure wash fresh paint? / wood screws from hell!!!! ... WOW!!!!!! just... wow....
After reading the whole thing...this mike dude has a quite a background painting customers rides....he is definitely EPIC failure if it comes to promising.....
pictures made me choke on my sammich... I get freaken upset if I get a little bit of orange peel on my final coat and have to sand.. those are some SERIOUS runs..... and the screws.... no primer.... no scuffing... when can I bring my ride in for a kit?
Its going to be an insane amount of work to get the car back to where it should be. Welding all those holes shut, ugggg. The car still will never be the same. All the rust proofing is hosed.
Easy fix, chrome the screw heads to add some bling to the rice and just put stickers over the wavy parts. YAY Rice!
