im sure some of you guys have seen this on the big forum... http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1484642 i personally love it... what do you guys think? Aj
He lowered it from 26 to 23k. If you offer him 21.5k, make sure I'm there to see it when he tells you to pound sand.
i like some things about it but he says he has the stock parts too. a lot of those might go back on, but it sounds like it would make some power
i dunno guys, if an offer of 20K came up, the seller might just take it. you could part out a LOT of the ricer stuff... i don't like the wheels, but i think the rest of it is put together quite nicely. well, thats just my thoughts... Aj
There's more to that car I don't like than there is that I do like. I am curious what calipers he is running though, it's not listed under the mods, but they don't look stock.
looks like brembos to me.... I'd swap the hood and trunk for stock, wingless/scoopless units. MAYBE keep the front bumper (probably not). Then I'd sell it and build a dozen turbo EJ loyales, and still have money left over....
I'm not saying that it is tasteful, I'm just saying that his engine mod list isn't going to leave the doorstep for 20k. A built motor with a 35R that has been properly tuned and setup isn't something you just sell off. Lets put it this way, my setup isn't finished, nor is it anywhere near as clean as his, and I wouldn't let my car go for bluebook. The paint is clean, the motor works nicely, and he has it modded out. He isn't looking for 04STi bluebook. Offering bluebook is an insult. 23k for an STi with a working built motor, with a 35R and properly tuned is not asking too much. I agree, it's gaudy, but it is still a pretty decent deal for a car that is ready to drive.
oooh... I'm curious now... This is about as close as it comes to what I've been trying to describe doing to my car in my posts recently - as far as the looks- not identical - but it's close. The only difference is that I wouldn't have all that engine mods and stuff that this one's got. I'd like to spiff up my car and make it look something other than stock - and I can do all the fabrication stuff on the cheap myself - and I'd enjoy it - but what do you say to a person like me that likes to have a spiffed up car - but doesn't have all the engine mods to go with it. Now I'm not into all the I'm faster than you racer boy kinda stuff - I just want something unique and not so stock - would I just get crap for not having all the engine mods - or if it turns out well do you still get respect for the job you've done? If I had the money and know how I would buy engine mods - but I don't so I'm doing whats cheap for me.
