Wrx Rotors on Ebay

What do you guys think about this? i'm thinking of buying them but i'm not sure if they'll be any good. Does it matter what brand they are? they're slotted so would there be a huge performance diff compared to something like.. frozen slotted rotors? anything bad about getting an ebay rotor? thanks

they look just like my previous ones...From what it looks like it is Slotted and Drilled...unless u change your pads and lines to stainless it wouldn't really feel any different from your stockers...performance wise. Goodridge lines and Hawks HPS pad would be a nice upgrade with those rotors...If your interested I maybe able to help get you those parts as well, PM me...

to Cryo them would be a good idea, talk to Russ about that.

no, cryo'ing is like a deep freeze. resurface them = turning them

 

whats the deal with freezing them? What do you gain there?

There are some residual stresses from the casting/hardening process. Once the rotors are heat-cycled (when you heat them up via the friction of breaking), the residual stress in the metal-crystaline structure release and can cause the rotor to warp.

Cryo-treating them gets the stresses out in a controlled fashion so that the rotor doesn't warp. Now, when they are heat-cycled from braking they should resist warping, so...

yeah i really like my new cryo'd rotors. just call them up and ask for the club discount....thats what i did and got them in a week.

 

I don't drive my car enough to have them frozen..hehe...
