Hey guys, I just recently had time to finally fly down to Michigan and pick up the new auto 04 Foz! Loving it so far As of right now it is completely stock. The weirdest thing happend while half way home from the drive, my cel came on. I searched around and its possible that its my gas cap, which I really tightened down or mybe a bad 02. I tried to have it read at autozone but it couldnt connect so I think I could have a some of the prongs could be bent or something. I havent had time to really check it out. Besides that LOVE IT! Future plans: Not in any particular order vf or 20g? not sure yet, im probably leaning more towards vf series since itll be more dd then anything. tune by nf most likely. Sti intercooler invidia g200 tbe (i feel like they sound the best from the sound clips available on youtube) wrx or sti struts w/ swift springs Sti/whiteline front and rear sway bars
Nice pickup! I actually rode in a fozzy xt automatic with a VF39 and STI intercooler...pulled hard and smooth! Not a bad setup in imho.
Congrats on the purchase. I love this color on the foresters. Don't worry about the OBDII port, there is most likely nothing wrong with it. I have never had luck getting an off shelf code reader to connect to my forester, and its really hit or miss on any other. I work at an Advance and for some reason Foresters are really picky about reading. Get a hold of Nuke or anyone else with a laptop and cable and that should read just fine. Congrats again, its nice to see more foresters popping up locally.
Congrats, MNSUBARU is turning into the fozzie whore house. If you get the g200, I would like to hear it sometime. I am debating what exhaust to get.
Thanks, today I just disconnected the negative terminal and its off now. So ill have to keep an eye out to see if it pops up again
If you listen to them on a good speaker system you get a good idea as long as the video was shot well, but yes drone is nearly impossible to get through a video. I did a diy job on my forester which helped but I still will invest in rammat and do the entire rear hatch and tailgate this year
Its an Sti exhaust. You need to get kartboy extra long hangers or something comparable to clear the rear bumper. I'm going to install a resonator in it to hopefully help with the interior drone as well as have it tweaked a bit since it hangs lower then I'd like. I can deal with the low drone it but it does get annoying on long trips once in awhile. I'll probably invest in a catted downpipe as well, for now I'm running a bellmouth catless.
If you think its too loud than it means you're getting too old. Hah, my Aps tbe has some drone but I don't mind it.. Kinda rumbles like a hog.
