Hey folks, I joined a couple days ago when I noticed another bugeye owner throw up the deuces while I was driving around Rochester. I've put a few posts up, but decided a good intro thread wouldn't be a bad idea. I've lived just outside of Roch my whole life. I'm just about to start my Senior year at the U of M-Duluth. So keep an eye out for my WRX on I-35 or around campus in Duluth. So on to some pictures! I've since taken the wing off, since two of the mounting studs were broken so I took it off and have duct tape over the holes. Haven't come across a wingless trunk though, so I'm in the process of fixing the studs with epoxy as seen here: So I'll have to get a new spoiler gasket to keep water from leaking into the trunk, but I'm still going to keep an eye out for any spoilerless trunks. (I was looking into how much it would cost to have the holes professionally filled and paint matchched, and it was about $500. I'll live with a spoiler before spending that much to get rid of it.) I'm also missing a piece of sideskirt trim as shown here: That I would be extremely obliged if someone could help me find another one. Just a few more pics that I've taken since owning it. Now on to the interesting stuff! Like the exhaust setup...I've got a TXS stealthback in my garage waiting to be mated up with my Stromung axleback.
Yeah, I really like this setup as well. Really great exhaust note, unlike a friend's 05 WRX that sounds much more ricey and just too loud in general. It's a pretty sweet head unit- NAV, DVD, radio and perfect iPod integration. It's a Kenwood DNX5120 that's probably 3-5 years old.
