wtb 02 or 03 wrx ecu

wtb 02 or 03 wrx stock ecu. hoping someone has one laying around

and maybe someone can correct me but i am pretty sure i can run an 2002 ecu in my 2003 correct? i got mixed results from nasioc. but most ppl said its possible.

so does anyone have one?

 

Not so sure about running the 02 onto the 03, but I've seen 03 onto the 02
I've flashed an 03 ecu that was put onto the 02, with an 02 rom and everything was fine (I believe there was a thread on either Enginuity or OpenEcu's forum)

 

You can run the '02 ecu on an '03 car but not vice versa without running into some CEL issues due.

 

Shouldn't you be able to flash the 03 to an 02 and run that?

I would think so.

 

I'm not sure. The '03 WRX has a few extra sensors and I'm not sure what happens when those sensors aren't present when the ecu is put into an '02 car.

I would imagine that flashing the '02 firmware would solve the issue, but I don't know for sure.
