Im looking for a wrx wagon or hatch 04 or later. I'd prefer stock but mods are fine. Below 17k

No problem. Is the e85 the only thing you don't like about that car?

Yeah and not touch the motor or turbo much. I would play with the exhaust and maybe coilovers but not much else. How much would it run me to have it retuned to 91oct do you know?

well to be honest nick here is my take on it. Esp if you have 17k for a budget to work with.
I would call around to the dealers or troll some of the local dealerships online for some bonestock models, or work with the dealer to find exactly what you're looking for.
Very important to check the carfax and the vin to get a low down of the previous owners who owned it.
I went with a certified preowned that still had a powertrain warranty that was good for 100k or 10 years i believe it was that the previous owner had purchased and it carried over for me ( lucky me) .
So that covers majority of any failures if any were to occur. The problem is buying a used elsewhere unless you know the person is how they really took care of the car.

Just my two cents for you. That way you can do what you will do it once you have obtained the car that you like.

Youll want to pm one of the vendors on here for a quote. I had a good experience from @Nuke with @NF Performance. Just my personal recommendation.

Under 200 from NF. In a serious note, that car has good mods that people would buy if you took them off, I would be interested in those d-specs forsure. And I'm pretty sure my stock suspension would go in there if you wanted to work out a trade, or I could buy them off you and you could spend that on coilovers. I would seriously consider buying that if I were you.

Thanks man. Unfortunately I don't have the budget anymore ( suppose I should change the title.) I have around 12k max.

They will go quick. Enough people on this board wtb and sell stuff on the daily. so you could take that route too. i support that too.

People will snatch that turbo I think. And the injectors. The rest of the stuff I would keep, the rest of the stuff are really good upgrades IMO. Even the turbo and injectors are good upgrades, but the stock motor will only handle that for so long.

I'd prefer and longer lasting engine than a stronger one

I could also just get it tuned a lot lower to help sustain the motor right?

I'm no expert but probably, If you want more reliability with out building your motor, I would put a td04 back in and stock injectors

I'moving the talk about those fenders over here to avoid clustering his forsale thread. But i believe that some body shops will cut the rusted out are out and weld in some new metal then repaint. I'm guessing that would be the best way to do it. But I'm no expert on any of this..

False. Read up on the drawbacks of forged internals. Strength and longevity do not enjoy the relationship one might intuitively assume. There's a reason I'm planning to re-rebuild mine at 150k.

oh okay. I thought you meant that it looked like a bad car. Yeah it is kind of low but nothing crazy. I generally hated stanced cars but this one isn't bad

No, from what I've heard the auto is stronger than 5 speed. But still a deal breaker for me at this point because auto sucks
