I got a vented box with a angled back to fit better in the trunk, but i'm in houghton mi right now, you'll probably probably find another one before i can bring down to the cities. Mine is 3/4" mdf with wiring for dual voice coils though. Let me know if you want pictures.

Sorry it took so long, $20 without the subwoofer. I can carpet it for $10 plus the cost of carpet if you want. I'm coming back to the cities march 7th, I can bring it down then if you want.

volume is 2463 cu inches, I can get you the port size when I find a tape measure, if you let me know what sub you plan on running, I can post the frequency response in free space.

The port goes back and then to the front again, so it's a fairly long port (lower resonant frequency) and it has a pretty large area (low port noise).

The box it super sturdy, you could use it as a jack stand if you needed, Ive had it for 6 years now so it's got a fair amount of cosmetic damage, but it doesn't change how it sounds and carpeting it would make it look new. Yes, it has a lot of screws, i got a little carried away and did one every inch or so.
