sooo i have been on the search lately for an 04-05 wrx and they have been really hard to find, that and i would still like to have a bugeye too. so i am on the search for an 02-05 wrx for about 12k and with less than 80k miles...no wagons or anything and i have been looking on carsoup, autotrader, cars.com and craigs list but nothing really there. so i was wondering if there was anything on here?

I have a 2005 WRX with 40,000 miles. I am currently running a VF-39, 565cc, FMIC and all supporting mods. I am taking it into the body shop this week for hail repair and may sell it after it is back and all fixed up.

Any interest? I would be asking the same amount that I owe...it will be a little bit higher than 15k. Would also come with a set of winter tires which are 75% left.

I have been making my payment + extra to principal to get the amount that I owe down maybe we could deal??

Kyle, you should review your funds first before posting this WTB thread. It's hard for members to take you seriously. Knowing what you want is a different story from knowing what you can afford.

ask yourself: How much can you afford? How much down? term? and to even go further check on your insurance, cost of gas, etc.

Like I said, ask a bank. Interest rates depend on many personal factors, such as credit rating, income level, new or used car, and your bank.

a 15k loan is @ $300 a month for 5 yrs. typically $100 for every $5k financed that is @ 7% rate give or take...asking someone what their payment is irrelavate (spell check) because your interest could be different and term can impact as much as $50 a month for 5 yrs with a higher rate. Term can be 4 instead of 5 yrs and impact $80 a month...Lots of variables...

*CHECK YOUR INSURANCE* seriously...it could be as high as your monthly payment before you buy any car. It's like buying a house and finding out your property tax is another mortgage payment

Most banks aren't going to offer you more than four years on a used car loan. Assuming you go 48 months for 15k, the monthly payments are:
    0% (for reference): 312.50
    5%: 345.44
    7%: 359.19
    9%: 373.28

If you only do 36 months:
    0% (for reference): 416.67
    5%: 449.56
    7%: 463.16
    9%: 477.00

The more typical new car 60 month loan:
    0% (for reference): 250.00
    5%: 283.07
    7%: 297.02
    9%: 311.38

I've got a Red 2002 subie. here's a list of mod's. We’re trying to buy a house so I kind of need the money. Only disadvantage is the car is in Madison, WI. But I could meet in the cities or part way if a buyer was serious. The body has almost 99k on the clock, and the motor has about 7k on it since the build.

    • 2.5 Axis stage 2 block bored 0.030 over (100mm bore) [build done by Bob Jackson of Valley Motor Works]
    • 100mm oversized Mahle pistons
    • STI rods / crankshaft
    • ACL HX series main and rod bearings (52mm journals for 2.5L, X series bearings providing more clearance for additional oil flow)
    • 2.0 heads
    • 0.041 Cometic brand head gasket
    • Modified WRX injectors flowing at 820 cc/min
    • 3” free flow JGT 500 stainless steel exhaust with fiberglass wrapped downpipe
    • HKS turbo timer
    • LC-1 wide band O2 sensor by Innovate motorsports
    • Installed Autometer volt / boost gauges with red lighting
    • EGT gauge / autometer dash bezel (not yet installed)
    • TD04
    • WRX top mount intercooler
    • Ported and polished WRX headers
    • TGV Deletes with blades removed (all sensors are still in place, but tuned to remove CEL)
    • Cold air filter
    • Boston audio crossover/speakers in the front door
    • Pioneer 2 channel amp
    • APS turbo inlet
    • Helix Up pipe
    • Walbro 255 fuel pump
    • GM boost solenoid controller
    • Raammat sound deadener
    • Recently tuned by RS motors, dyno’ed at 200 HP, toss a bigger turbo on and break 300 HP easily

don't know to be honest. KBB's retail value is $12,500 so with the mods and new motor i would hope it's worth north of that. any opinions?

Doubt you'd get much more than an extra 500-1000 or so. Mods don't return money usually.

Not sure what I can get for it, but am thinking about selling it. Not final on my desition yet but thought id let you know since your looking.
