Contrary to belief, if you drive decent...it works just fine for most people. They aren't bullet-proof, but they aren't fragile as glass either.

RA Gears are nice, for a 1st-4th set...unless your idea of freeway RPM's are over 4k.

I'm thinking the 2.5 went because of the previous oil starvation. Crank looked okay to the eye, but there may have been more damage than we could've seen.

i know this sounds like an obvious question already but it's really a direct bolt on?

other wise try car-part.com i just looked for you and they have probably 8 or 9 of them all ranging from 1800 to 2750

Yes you can bolt it on. Depending on the year of the trans, you may need to swap stub shafts out on the front differential to make your axles work though.

I know for a fact that 02-05 WRX tranny's are the same, for the most part.

He destroyed his clutch, which is normal when you abuse the trans the correct way. It's always better to smoke the clutch, than to drop it and break gears.

I remember seeing a certain clutch that was about 0.000000000000001 mm away from the rivets. lol!

And +1 on the oil starvation. However, I think that a certain few jumps caused the issue....
