They seem hard to find, but I want one. Doesnt have to be an RS, I dont even care that much about auto/manual, but i'd prefer manual. High miles is ok. Thanks.
Well, since they're *all* 4dr after 2001 (except the wagons), I would imagine he's finding lots of coupes, which he doesn't want. Why would you ask for help finding a 4dr 2002+ ? Stuart.
sorry... pre 2002. the GC body style, though i'm not sure that's the right classification. I'd be open to a wagon too. However I want to avoid the outback, but I might have to do that because i'm finding lots of them. I just dont want to drive an "outback"... lol. Can I un-outback-ify an outback somehow? Any way, they seem really hard to find, and being subaru people I would hope somebody would have the low-down on something. THanks.
I had a 2000 Outback sedan for a while. Great car. Less sporty than the Impreza, but just as sure footed. How about a nice older Legacy GT ? Those all have four doors, are just a little tighter across the shoulders than an Outback, and don't ride as high as the Outback if that's what you're concerned about. By the way, I spent a year finding my 4dr GC, and had to go to Ohio to collect it. But I was fussy. Stuart.
you can unoutbackify an outback sport by painting it and switching in a nicer interior. If you were thinking of already painting a car anyways might as well get a fugly 2 tone outback and paint over that just to remove one more of them from the world. I'm embarrassed by how bad the obs looks, especially the GD ones. The current alfa fronted 2 tone one with the chrome grille is an abomination. the bugeye one was pretty hideous too. GC 2.5RS interiors are cheap. that part would be easy. you'd have to get weird rear seats though since all outbacks are wagons and no 2.5rs's are.
Did you try the usual websites yet ? All manuals, as requested, and all here in the Metro area... http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.j...rs=&transmission=Manual&max_price=&cardist=10 http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.j...rs=&transmission=Manual&max_price=&cardist=19 http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.j...rs=&transmission=Manual&max_price=&cardist=34 Stuart.
I dont want to spend that much. I dont need anything that new either, i was thinking like 93-95, high miles is fine. I want to spend under $5k Thanks for the links though stooo..ooo....
try craigslist, thats where i got my 93 4 door. i remeber i saw a white one there for $700 not too long ago
I bought my 94 impreza wagon on cl - the guy sold it to me for under 1K and he was kind of a moron so I got it with 136K on it HIS LOSS not mine! http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/car/306736218.html http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/search/car?query=subaru&minAsk=min&maxAsk=max&addTwo= there scour that
haha, yeah, already seen that car and already done a search for subaru. I actually have one i'm thinking about right now.
oh yeah, i forgot to mention that i picked up my impreza for $600 on CL. all it needed was a new oil pan.
ooooh I'd go with the legacy GT *drools* even if it's an automatic http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/car/298088838.html :yumyum: The only problem is it's probably been sold already. That's the issue with craigslist.
I was waiting for you to say that Its the Legacy Outbacks that the lesbians gravitate towards (at least according to my sister who happens to be a lesbian). Now my sister has gravitated towards a 99 Jeep Wrangler that, come to find out, gay men seem to have a fancy for. As for me...I'm a lesbian in a man's body:biggrin: So I say OBS FTW!
