I'm currently located near Chanhassen, looking to return my touring wagon back to stock as the previous owner sourced a base hood after a deer strike. Color does not matter so long as its straight. Pm me with photos and your asking price. Or text thanks for taking the time to look over this!
I appreciate the response at least, the hunt goes on! not sure how I managed to miss setting up notifications on here, sorry for the late reply.
I'd be interested! I have a truck available and plenty of free time if they decide they'd like to part with it. And thank you for asking around, Ive been out of the car scene for so long since I moved up from Florida and 1st gen anything has only been getting harder and harder to find, most of the older forums have slowed to a crawl in turn so its been tough to get much word out.
Im happy to help! I will see if i can get you a phone number of the guy. Always good to see another first gen turbo legacy enthusiast!
Likewise! Sadly I've had to let the car sit for far too long mothballed so its going to be a bit before it ever sees the road again. https://i.imgur.com/lQyXf4dh.jpg I have very little history on it sadly and so far noone's recognized it. But at some point it seems the car was gone over with adjustable struts and a 2 1/2" exhaust system. I'll have to make a proper introductory post on it sometime once its finally out the corner of my garage.
I always loved the angular lights on the pre facelift models, the rs wheels look right at home on there too. My bad on the link though, not sure why its breaking but I'll try reupping it
Just getting back to stock for now, it has the beginnings of your typical Subaru quarter rot which was largely why I stored it to begin with I haven't started stripping it back but as far as I can tell its isolated to the outer panel/doglegs and hasn't made it up into the strut towers yet. Subiesavers recently started making patch panels at least, and I'm hoping the rest can be sorted either through fab work or donor steel. The car used to be crimson pearl though, it'd be nice to get it back to that color eventually.
I might be interested in the non turbo hood if you don't plan on keeping it once you have the turbo hood
He got back to me today and we were able to set up a time to meet, I really cannot thank you and joebush enough for the help, I owe ya. I'll be sure to set up a journal on here for progress as it comes.
I'll be sure to keep it mind! I'd like to keep it on the car at least until I can get the new one sorted.
