Hey all, I'm new to the forum, looks like a great group! Anyway, I'm looking to buy a '95 or newer Legacy wagon with a 2.2 to use as my daily driver. Auto or 5speed, doesn't matter, just like to find something with relatively low miles. Anyone got something for sale?? Thanks, Dan
I don't know if they used the 2.2 after 94 in the Legacy. Weren't they all 2.5L? I could be completely wrong.
The base Legacies have the 2.2 until '99. The outback got the 2.5 headgasket eating motor. I have a '97 Outback with new headgaskets! Fun.
you could still get a 2.2 in a legacy all teh way untill the restyle in 2000 they were phaze 2 though, they looked identical to 2.5s.
Legacy L's were still 2.2, Outbacks have the 2.5. At some point all legacies did go to the 2.5, but I don't know what year that was, maybe 2000? My old 98 legacy still had a 2.2 anyway. I've seen a few legacies come up on craigslist, but nothing with low miles recently. Joel edit: heh, Sorry for being repetitive, the other replies weren't there when I started...
legacy i just sold my 04 legacy with 12k miles...2.5L. Lots of people looking for these cars with low miles, freakin subaru fanatics
