I was up there this past weekend for the BMW Advance Car Control Clinic. I was pushing my car real hard throughout the day. Musashi wanted to drive, so he could show me how to push my car to the limit. At the end of the course, the car made a loud knocking sound, the car felt really weak in power and started to choke. As Chong gave it gas, it would knock. After having Fuji take a look at it, it was bad rod bearings. So, my car is still at Fuji's house and I had to drive home in his Outback. I'm in serious need for a new motor. 97-98 Forester long block 97-99 Legacy 2.5GT long block
No $$$$$. I need my car up and running again. Again, thanks for letting me take your car out for a couple runs.
psh, no problem, we're all good friends. but i thought mister fuji had a 2.5, unless he junked it. If not...that motor in his outback will 'magically' disappear
BUMP... The Outback shortblock has, 200K miles on it, even if we replaced the bearings, seals it'll be kinda pointless. I just talked to Fuji on the phone, that bastard fell asleep on me! Left me hanging for almost half an hour. But that's what he told me to look for. BTW, you should come down with Chong/Fuji and them guys. For the Road Race show next weekend. I still have them 4 tickets available.
i got a 96 2.5 dohc motor. fuji should have told you but im keeping the heads. so its basically the shortblock. Are you interested in 2.2t swap? I got that also but can't decide if I should let it go. You need something reliable if you're gonna be on the track again.
I need one of them motor I mentioned on my first post. I really need my car up and running again. Fuji has a busy schedule and he does not have time to be rebuilding it. As for now, I'm just driving around in his Outback and I'm pretty sure his sister needs the car back too.
