As the title says. I'm looking to see if anyone had a 5 speed out of a 99-01 rs or lgt. I currently have a 2000 rs trans in my first gen legacy and it keeps popping out of 4th and starting to have syncro problems. Would like to pick one up in good working order so I can swap it in and I'll keep my old one and rebuild it maybe with stronger gears. I'm also thinking about swapping on a wrx trans but I would need a rear diff for that. If any one has something that could work let me know and we can talk
I'd figure an 02 WRX trans would work since you're not running too much power through it- I don't have a rear diffy, but I do have the trans. Not sure what they go for, or if you even wanted to go that route. I can also check with a friend, he pulled a noisy 97 Legacy trans out for his lifted truck tires 4.44 swap- might be good to rebuild, not sure.
