Over the weekend the drivers side rear knuckle/hub started to come loose on our 99 RS. With the axel nut and the lugs tightened all the way down the entire hub still has a lot of play.

Let us know what you have, new or used.

    Thanks,

    Mike

The knuckle and hub are the same between drum and disc brakes, you just need to swap the backing plate, although doing that you should probably change the bearing and seals at the same time.

If possible we would like a complete unit with the bearing already installed so it's a quick change over.

why do you need a whole new knuckle? just replace the bearing.

Utech said he believe the threads have actually stretched and that's why there's such an excess in play. It's more then the standard wheel bearing wobble, the car couldnt even drive in a straight line.

It's possible, I figure it would be cheaper/less of a hassle to get a used/pre-assembled hub though. If all else fails we'll probably look into just the bearing but for now i think we wanna stick with the whole unit.

I have a pair of 2006 WRX rear hubs and knuckles w/ brake rotors (for 2pot rears). Not sure if those would help or not. I want to sell them complete and as a pair though.

Appreciate the offer but we only need the one hub at this time.
