What Sean said! If you get another stocker, it'll just blow again. Might as well invest a little extra in a good a-lu-min-e-um one!
Thanks Sean and Tangled. I was hoping there was a more affordable yet comparable brand out there, but I suppose you get what you pay for. So it looks like I'm going to have to go and pay for a peace of mind.
Smart choice! You could always spend the extra ching on the Koyo. But the Mishimoto is a great piece for the money.
I just got my Forester specific Mishimoto in the mail this morning ; I bought it online and was about $300 shipped. Immediately after ordering it online I realized that MAP probably has these...and they do, and they are cheaper than anyone else, and they like us MNSubaru folks. Give MAP, or any other local vendor a call and see what they can do to help you out. WRX/STi radiators should be around the $250 mark...which even if you order the top-o-line OEM replacement from RockAuto, which is $146.00 + shipping, the Mishimoto is only about $100.00 more...totally worth it unless you are on a budget. Go all aluminum IMHO...we have lost two OEM radiators at my house in the last 4 months...lame, costly, and generally annoying (this is one of the few things I think Subaru really cheaped out on).
