after some talk with other members on here i think i am officially in the market for some aftermarket springs to fit an 02-03 BUGEYE or 95-99 LEGACY GT i am looking for the cheapest springs, that are still good (performance wise) that i can find. i am not sure what the price range on any particular set of springs but shoot me some PM's or call me, post pictures yell and scream at me, whatever you have to do to get me to buy your spring set up i will also consider stock 02-03 BUGEYE struts and springs and whatever else goes with the suspension set up aka the whole damn suspension. heres the pound sign: seven six three - two five eight - four one three one oh yea btw, i know my poor sentance structure and lack of proper capitalization is horrid but i am tired, have a **** ton of homework and im in a bad mood. so deal with it.
oh, and it doesnt matter if the aftermarket springs are from a wagon or a sedan right? its only stuts that matter?
^ i think you might be wrong because the wagon springs are different to componsate the extra weight.. i could be wrong tho
I would look more into the difference between wagons and sedans before buying wagon springs. I'm far from certain, but I do seem to recall seeing in more than one place that they are different in the rear, probably because of different weight & weight split, whether its more or less. Also, I think springs with a higher rate will accelerate the demise of your stock shocks - just something to keep in mind. And of course the dampening won't match the new springs quite as well, depending on the spring rate.
I've got some Eibach Pro Springs for 02/03 WRX. I'll clean them up and get you some pictures. They have a nice stock-ish ride but were pretty stiff when needed.
how much are you looking to get for them? lets take it to a pm. and i think ive seen your car before..its a sedan correct?
Where does everyone get that info? Every where I look its sedans being lighter, like common sense would tell you. NASIOC, CLUBWRX, IWSTI, DIRTYIMPERZA, WRXFANATICS, RS25, ... the world doesn't revolve around MNSubaru. I found my STi V7 struts for a damn good deal on NASIOC.
Giant text FTL. But yeah - just troll the Suspension FS on NASIOC for a week. There's a couple to few posts in that subforum alone every single hour. Heaven forbid you ever need to catch something FS in the Engine/Power subforum. Smaller sites like RS25 don't have nearly as much quantity or activity, but the deals are often better.
yea i have been looking around nasioc (that is the only site im registered on) but i really wanted to try and avoid the shipping cost and since i dont know much about suspension i would rather just buy local so i can see them before i buy them and if they are bad i now know where the old owner sleeps at night:squint: srsly  jk...but seriously. im not jk. or am i..:raise:
Yeah - I suppose shipping struts is spendy, and they seem more like the kind of thing that people might sell bad ones as good, or forget to mention that they were rocking S-Techs for 100k miles on those stock struts. But the giant text... :ugh:
Also - shipping struts are considered hazmat, so if the shipper does fess up to UPS or whatever it is quite a bit more expensive.
hahha, u guys are silly yea for various reasons stated above i would prefer to pick my struts up locally. serious bump for anyone looking to get rid of those 'cluttered in the back of the garage stock struts' shoot me a pm! or for you extra creepy lurkers here is my teleph0ne numero: s3ven six thr33 dash two five eight dash four 0ne thr33 0ne
Why do you want stock WRX struts so bad? Piece your money together and get something that will out live the car. Are your struts currently toast?
