Hey Everyone! How is it going?

I am thing about getting a security system for my car. But i dont know which on. I searched the forum, NASIOC, and the web for some alarms but cant really decide which one would be best. I want the alarm to have: Keyless entry, window roll up, truck opener, tow way paging, shock and microwave sensors. I dont want to have a remote start, because i know i will start the car on a gear and ruin the car or kill someone. And i dont really want to spend more than $500. I would appreciate if people direct me to a shop that would install it with out it burning the car down later.

    Thanks a lot, Taras

Granted it doesn't have a rll up windows or anything, but I'm quite happy with my remote entry and PANIC mode ...

also whats so great about it?... or so great about it vs. anything else?
i mean FTW makes it sound fabulous, but ice cream is FTW too however i don't think it would make a very good alarm system... hahaha yes wise guy i am :)

sounds like there might be a few people interested in an alarm, anyone got any hookups that might be able to set up a group buy on something good?

Define not too pricey. You can get a new Prodrive for 300ish shipped and that's a very good price for them, and it fits all of your criteria.

Yeah prodrive would be nice. I cant find a website where they just sell axel backs. 250-300 would be ok.

Why? viper is DEI who makes like 17 billion brands of alarm like clifford etc.

I'd buy a compustar or autopage. end of story, the best car alarm systems on the planet pretty much. Tony / Handcommand should be able to hook you up with either, is a licensed installer so you get the factory warranty and should be able to get the Compustar pager alarm which is excellent installed for >$400.

he'll even come over to your place and install it there sometimes. he's awesome.

I want a car alarm that starts screaming random phrases instead of just beeping. One that insults the person attempting anything would be hilarious ...

would be the best alarm ever! Besides the one that shoots flames from underneath the car...that would be better.

Compustar FTW (I have one in the STi)

Also, nothing but good things regarding Tony @ Hand Command

BTW, Compustar does not sell to anyone other than certified installers (or that is how it was when I bought mine). You can get them off Ebay and install it yourself, but I doubt you will find a professional that will install an EBay one... I did mine myself, took about 8hrs and a lot of 'creativity' :p
