check out ebay, I bought a refurb kicker off there that was factory fixed. It was a great price and has worked flawlessly for 5 months now since ive owned it.

If these are the "only" brands you choose for me then nah, no thanks. Not my taste. I've been threw off branded amps. I would like the 4 brands I mentioned. If I were to buy a NEW amp it'll be around $150 and under $100 for a use one. I dont need massive power. Just needed something to keep my single 12"(1200w) running.
So much fail. First off you think that a Sony amp is good and the ones the Tjamz listed is a off brand?? Better do some reading. Also, buying a amp based off of "watts" is about as stupid as it gets. I can tell you right now that a rockford 250w amp is going to be a whole different animal than a sony 250w amp. Russ
The most off branded one was DB Drive (awesome amp). Zapco has been making competition amplifiers since 1974 and is regarded as an elite line of car audio. Treo HUGE following, very solid amp...great bang for the buck on their entry level stuff Atomic been in the speaker world since the 30's (SJA) USAmps not off brand at all. Well regarded and great entry level amps MTX if you haven't heard of MTX you've never spent a day in car audio Clarion (actually, they make really decent sub amps...designed by Robert Zeff who is the designer for Zapco and Arc Audio) I know you've heard of them...probably more well known than MTX even. Kenwood not off brand by any means JVC see above $150 new...I'm sorry I wasted my time, I thought you wanted something that was a good value...but I guess Sony should have been the give away that you weren't (no sarcasm intended at all) 1200watt sub? What make/model. I'll give you my honest opinion on which of the 4 manufacturers you listed will best meet your needs AND provide the model amp that I would go with.
You guys have to remember that ej20 also wanted to make a custom front lip out of materials from Home Depot. Just let him buy some overpriced piece of crap from a pawn shop and be done with it.
