you are doing something wrong. call Cobb tomorrow and they will walk you through it. try upgrading the map software...the newest one is on their website.

As I told Chokin, I was able to move Justins custom maps off the AP and load it with OTS maps from Cobb with the exception of one map I couldn't remove from the AP, MARRIED STOCK map.

However, I called Cobb to discuss the NO MENU issue. The rep told me it's still married to justins car. :( I wasn't confident I was talking to the most knowledgable person at Cobb so I will look at it further tonight when I have time.

Justin, if it turns out this is still married to your car I'll advise Kin and let him give it back to you to unmarry.

i truly apologize if it is in fact still married. tom and i had been tuning with enginuity so i really dont understand how it could still be married. it doesnt make sense.

I agree 150%, it doesn't make any sense. Kin is coming by tonight and we'll try to flash his ecu with the OTS map i loaded. I'll know then if it's still married. I should've known last night, i had to resolve the map issue first.

Well, if it is still married and you have been tuning the ecu with it, there is a very good chance that it will not revert back to stock. You will know as soon as you hook the ap up to the car (doesn't matter what map is on it). If you get the main menu on the ap it has not been unmarried from the previous ecu. At that point in time I would get ready to spend another $400 to have cobb revert it back to a stock ap.

what...??? have to spend another $400? NO WAY...i got no money left...

how to find out thta its married or unmarried? just like what dave said earlier, when we hooked up the AP to the car ...there is no MAIN MENU...only thing was on is "COBB accessport V1.6" and something else after few seconds, it jumped to a screen with " select a map to flash the ECU", then we hit enter, all it showed were "justin's map" and "married stock mod", and the other were blanked( with no map)

so then it is unmarried and you just need to get the correct ap map onto it. You should be able to do that with the map manager software.

I have a backup of the original ROM on Justin's car. If it's the case where for some reason the AP was never divorced, I can simply flash back the original ROM and then unmarry the AP.

However, IIRC, we unmarried the AP quite some time ago. When I talked to Dave last night it sounded like it was acting like an unmarried AP when it would start up (showing initialization screen and firmware # and then going to "select map to flash").

It's all set, it was in fact unmarried. Thanks Tom and Justin for talking last night. I have never seen an unmarried ap so combining that with the errors when trying to delete justins maps was a bit confusing. (for the record, I've never seen these errors before, and it wasn't the typical COM errors)

Being the middle man is oh so fun sometimes;)

End result...Kin went home with stage 2 and huge a** smile.

200whp with a stg 2 sounds about right...from 165whp and your torque should be up there too...around 190awtq

The most important factor is the BUTT dyno...if it says it's faster...then it's faster.

I'm very happy to see your car is coming together!!!
