Looking for a cheap option for an EJ-series block or block halves. It would be nice if heads come with, internals are not necessary. I have a project in mind and I need one. I prefer if it isn't running, I need one that is toast so I don't feel guilty about what might happen with it in my hands. Feel free to PM me with anything that might be out there, I know someone must be looking to clear out some garage space!
I have a blown 2.0 short block only thing good left in it is the crank. Its almost split in half now.
Hmm... you've got a dead EJ block, don't you? Willing to put it up in a wager on who can put down a faster time?
I have a EJ255 (07 WRX) and an EJ257 (08 STi) Lower ends. The WRX block needs new pistons, and the STi block needs pistons, bearings, and very possibly a crank.
I have a block from a 02 wrx which is split in half, the block is no good for a running engine though. $20
i have 2 blown 2.0 wrx motors, 1 lost the oil pump and threw a rod bearing, the other the timing belt let go i believe, i picked it up as a spare. you want to buy them? pm me...
Is that dead oil pump still around? I'm good with blocks, but I'm looking for a few other minor things now. Toasted heads and valve covers are welcome.
I know you said blown but I figure I'll mention it anyways. I recently had a relatively low speed rollover, but my 04FXT is likely totaled as far as the insurance company is concerned (the body is pretty beat up). The motor has 152k on it and still runs. Would you be interested if I buy it back from the insurance company?
Well I've done some looking around I can't find anything similar for sale, so I really don't know what the going rate is. Oh, and I forgot to mention it before, it eats almost a qt of oil every 200 miles. I'm not looking to get a lot for it. Make an offer.
Eats might be a bad word. I never figured out where the oil was going. The car didn't smoke at all, and I never had it leak onto my driveway. I did find a drip of oil on a hose under/near the timing belt cover on more than one occasion, but like I said I never fully tracked it down.
One more post. I haven't bought this back from the insurance company just yet, and I need to do so soon. So if you (or anyone) is interested, make an offer so I know It's worth buying back.
