I'm looking to borrow or possibly buy a xbox-360 wireless adapter. I think my ethernet port got taken out by the lightning last week and I would like to verify that wireless will work before buying one. The closer to Shoreview the better. Thanks.
Just buy a regular access point. That wireless 360 adapter business is a ripoff. You don't need wireless to test the port either, set it up next to your router and run a normal cable to it. There's nothing special about wireless/wired that will respond differently if the ethernet port on the xbox itself is healthy or fried.
The port doesn't work, hence the need for the wireless adapter. I just sucked it up and bought one, works now, luckily it was just the ethernet port that got hit.
