Wtb bug eye Sti rack

    i need to replace my leaking rack and pinion on my 02 Wrx wagon and figured I would ask around for an upgrade that will work. Pm a price, I will be looking around as well

    To clarify: the 02-03 (Bugeye) did not offer an STI model. All the steering racks are the same on these years.
    If you want an upgrade though, the 04 STI steering rack is a shorter ratio and bolts right in. Racks from 05-07 will not bolt directly in without also swapping the crossmember.

    Looks like I'm going to aim for an 04 since it will be just as easy as finding a job one. I found one for $250 so far

    you should be able to get a rebuilt one on rock auto for a decent price but I bet they charge for cores.

    They do but I compared parts from 02 2.0 turbo to 04 2.5 turbo and they are the same. I might just go that route if I can't come up with what I would prefer i suppose
