I was thinking about buying my brother one of those cheap aluminum wings for his birthday, the kind you see on civics, etc. I don't want to spend much on it, definately under $40 or so. Basically my brother claimed if I bought him one, he'd put it on his car, sooo, we'll see if he holds up his end of the bargain...

If you have one, let me know, otherwise just ignore this ad.... :)

    Thanks,
    Joel

Don't go asking on a Honda board. They charge about $250-500 for them things (used)! Just joking...

Well, considering how much hp they add, I don't doubt they charge so much... ;)

Yeah, or you can just give him a bunch of cans and tell him to cut out his own wing and he can say it was "handmade, custom fitted anodized aluminum".

Couple ebay auctions if you don't need it immediately:

    Min bid $18+$15 ship:
    http://cgi1.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=8057048997

These aren't as "potentially" cheap, but there's a BuyItNow so you can't get outbid. AND they're some of the tallest gaudiest things in that price range. $20+$35 ship:
    http://cgi1.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=8057450895

I'm thinking you should hit the Cull Pile at the local lumberyard and dig up some small sheets of thin plywood or pegboard, design a wing and pillars yourself to give it that "personal touch", and then paint it silver. (or fake carbon-fiber contact paper, heehee)

ooh, he might like that black one.

Here's the car it would go on, although now he's saying he doesn't want to drill any holes in the trunk...

and yeah, I've seen wings like that put onto civic hatchbacks, but just on top of the roof towards the back. Maybe you could make some custom brackets and mount one as a waist spoiler for your wagon.

^^I like his license plate. It makes sense if his car goes fast4r with the spoiler mounted. If he's serious about not having to drill holes into his trunk, 3M has a monster double-sided tape that will stick on forever. It's a grayish, rubbery, goo-like material that my brother's old Prelude used to install his Ebay bodykit with. It worked very very well.

Yeah, but the tape would probably be stronger than the clearcoat. I think the best gift you can give is the flashing valve stem caps. Mount those on his wheels when he isn't looking. We've done it before to people. ;)

You could also accent it with the l.e.d. washer nozzles.
