Why do you need a closed-deck block?

My big issue is I don't want to machine my chamber's for a 2.5 just want the car back on the road and 205 and 207 would be a plug and play for the 207 if i choose to build it I at least have a decent platform just don't want to invest in a IAG closed deck yet

You realize the 205 is open deck and the 207 is only semi-closed, right? If you're looking for a true closed deck, the only one we had on this side of the pond was the ej22t in the (I believe '90-'94) turbo Legacys. Otherwise all JDM ej22t's are closed deck and some JDM ej20g's are closed deck. Unless you plan on going nuts with the build, the 205 is probably a sufficient replacement (assuming this is a 02-05 wrx).

Another option is sending a 205 out to get it closed deck (Outfront Motorsports). I think that service is around $800 though.

Yes I get all that cost is the big factor right now my bad on the closed deck ment to type semi but if I can get a 207 for a little more I'll go with it but if i can't then I'll take the 205, if I spent the money I'll go with a 2.5 closed deck
