Hey im looking for the infamous 90 degree into turbo pipe w/ pcv, front head vent, and BPV nipples. I know these are stupid expensive new from the dealer so i was wondering if anyone has one they would be willing to part with. Thanks Kent
:eek4: Utters profanities... haha well i just confirmed my suspicion of a crack in it so shoot me a pm if you find it. thanks
my 90* bend to the turbo is cracked too...where the clamp is...but I put it on and added silicone to it after I cleaned it. It's BEFORE the turbo so no pressure on it..just vaccum.
Ha well i tried some silicon on the inlet to turbo crack but the bigger problem is my PCV nipple is split all the way down. Aswell as the front head/crank vent nipple got torqued on and cracked right at the point where it attaches. Silicon has helped my hessitation @ > 7 psi, but after a day or two it comes back quickly and starts chugging like a train again... blasted vac leaks yeah mike or martin let me know if your able to find one lying around. thanks again
Yeah, but its metered air at that point so any leak be it air rushing in or out is going to throw your AFR's off.
Thus my choo choo train sound of air entering the turbo post MAF which leads to the ever unhappy hessitation. Though i think he is saying being pre-turbo it is easier to seal a vac leak with silicon then a boost leak. *shrugs* i still would like to know its not cracked and potentialy leaking.
So this is the CRANK BREATHER that's found right behind the alternator, right? That PLASTIC piece that goes under the intake manifold?
No the nipple on the intake 90* to turbo pipe that goes to that front vent has cracked right at the base. That plastic pipe up front also broke when i removed the intake mani, but i replaced it with some heater hose and a plastic T
found it. here are some pics. shoot me an offer. you can have the large brass fitting too if you want ;-) lol i will seperate it from the other pieces in a bit.
Well thanks again Martin for coming through with the part. It definatly helped the problem though it still has a lingering occasional hickup when going full boost <3k rpm... So... frustrating... anyone have a VF-8 or VF-12 they wanna part with? haha Thanks again
