My guess is he owns a GC Impreza ... OP go to Walmart and buy a set of Hella 500's there under 70 for the pair.
Or buy a MNSOC membership and get a discount though RallyLights.com on the Hella 500's. Any way about it, put in Hella 500's unless somebody gives you some kind of really smokin' deal on stockers.
Remember you'll need the fog light brackets to hold the fog in place on the bumper. I believe they are about $11 a piece with MNSubaru discount. Do you already have the RS hood?
A couple of notes. The Hella 500s they sell at Walmart are driving lights, not foglights. Nothing wrong with that unless what you wanted was a foglight. You really don't need the brackets. They do make it easier to locate the hole you need to drill, but functionally they're just not necessary. (but if you really want them, I have a set of the Kartboy mounts I'd be happy to sell).
I've got a set of brand new hella 500s I'd sell ya. I was planning on putting them in the bumper of my 98 rs but I'd rather wait until I did the v5/v6 bumper swap. Hella 500 fogs way outperform stock fogs. Really, the stock fogs blow. Go with the 500s. Also get some sort of rockblocker or clear shield for them.
