Hello MNSubaru. Thought I would put this out there for the time being. We have had a 05 sedan and 06 wagon and would like to get back into a Subie. The song of the straight 6 in the BMW is not enough for us to want to drive it into the ground at this point in our lives. My wife is sick of slipping around every corner in our BMW this cold cold winter. Granted, the spring is almost here and the roads are bound to be ice free soon, but we still think a FXT or WRX wagon is for us.

I realize no one wants to part with their car right now with the weather the way it is:) Maybe you are ready to upgrade, downgrade, sidegrade I don't know. Consider us if you have a 2004 or newer Forester XT or WRX wagon with a manual trans!!

I am okay with a car that needs some work. The car does not need to be the prettiest, but we also do not want a smoker car masked with gas station air fresheners, or a rat trap with rust all over. We have cash on hand and will be a bit picky, but don't hesitate to pm or post up your cars or ideas. If you want the BMW we could work that into a trade as well, not necessary though. Probably do not want to spend over 10k at this point.

Thanks for looking and make it a great day. Nate.

Still looking around. I won't bump this too often to clutter up the board, but I will once in awhile just in case...

I was in the exact same boat as you last year, be ready to travel out of state if you are dead-set on a 5-spd. I looked for a good six months before one just happened to pop up on MNSuby. You may also have to settle for a higher mileage in that price range (100k+). P.S. It was worth the wait for a manual!

Yeah. Actually, you should create your own thread since we are not looking for the same thing at all. You are looking for a grandmas car, we are looking for a sporty runabout:)

We are dead set on a 5spd. That 04 silver WRX seems a bit high priced given the miles and color; WRX wagon NEEDS to be blue. Willing to travel a bit, not to the coasts though.

There is one at the Audi dealership in Maplewood, its on Autotrader and cars.com. Good luck.

So you read/noticed the price (not over 10k) I set in the initial post correct? I would guess, based upon what you wanted to sell the car for last year around this time, you may be looking to get a little (lot) over our 10k limit... Justifiably so, since this car is waaaaay too nice for hippies like us. Also, we like the bouncy, tiny, rattle-y, relatively cheap Impreza platform.

Still sort of looking: WRB 04+ WRX wagon with a 5spd, FXT not silver or black with a 5spd.
