how hard is it to use them in a NA aplication? do you think they will work with a ej18 intake manifold? the plan is to use a ej25 shortblock with ej22 heads. that appears to be the easiest way to jump from 110 hp to around 160 hp in my little ej18 powered impreza.
The ej18 manifold will bolt up perfectly with the ej22t heads. i would grab some n/a ej22 heads if you can. Better flow and they have a smaller combustion chamber volume than the ej22t heads for higher compression ratio.
that is kind of where i am leaning. talking with matt monson from colorado and he suggests the ej22e heads. he has done a few motors like this with good results. i am budgeting for some torque grind delta cams too.
