As the title stated, I need mounts and entertaining the idea of a pitch rod/stopper.

Check with BrianShorten. At least he knows what 'Group N' refers to.

I ordered mine from SubieGal as she had them in stock when I was shopping for mine. Path of least resistance at the time.

You might want to look into tranny mounts while you're at it.

If you want to know just how squishy your stock mounts are, pop over one evening. I have all my old chewing gum stuff still sitting in a box in the garage. It'll make you cringe.

    Stuart.

^^thanks. Group N is a rally classification...technically. I have the group n tranny mount, that was the first to be replaced. nice improvement over stock for sure. I can get the pitch rod for 45 and new group n mounts for 113 with shipping, but would love to have something local, quick, and looking for the best deal at the time.

Yes, but it's also used to describe a certain level of STi performance parts. It was a bit embarrassing at one dealer when I had to open the SPT/STi brochure he had on his desk in front of him and point to the description next to the pictures. And some of the dealers don't know that STi made parts for cars before 2002. It's a bit sad.

Just to let you know how stiff the motor mounts are, when we put them in my car, the engine wasn't heavy enough to bend the mounts into place. It wasn't until everything was torqued down that it all lined up as it should.

    G'night,
    Stuart.

I'll have to check the catalog in the morning, but I'll get those looked up as soon as I get in. For the life of me at the moment I can't even think of a ballpark. My next stock order goes in on Thursday for Monday, but I can overnight them and have them by Thursday if you order before noon tomorrow (today actually, I'm just getting off a fire call and I'm a bit sleepy), I'll see what I can do on the freight for you. Normally it's 20.00 to overnight.

^Man, hope you're not sleepy from the smoke inhalation. ;)

I don't need them this week or anything, just don't want to wait too long.

thanks brian, pm me when you have a price

The STi Grp N motor mounts fit just about every Subaru out there, and are an OEM part available from any dealership smart enough to look up the part number. They are super stiff, and have a slightly different geometry. I also have an '01, and we put these in about 6weeks ago. We also noticed that the rubber had Bridgestone logos on it. Not sure if that matters or not. Aftermarket ones might mean something like Cusco, which are solid metal. I think speedyham has those installed.

There are a whole slew of aftermarket pitch mounts available if you don't want the STi one, but not too many motor mounts.

    Stuart.

Stooo, what were the part numbers that you put into your car? I'm just trying to confirm to make sure the newer style will fit the older cars. Knowing Subaru, I have a feeling that's the case but I want to make sure.

brian, thanks for the prices. Here's what you gave me for my car

    MY- 2004
The Pitch Stop is a D1040FE000 and they are 43.96 + tax. The Motor mounts are D1010FE120 and D1010FE110 and they're 58.36 + tax each.

great price. I'll let you know brian

I'll check to see if I still have the boxes laying around in the garage. I'm pretty sure I do.

Did you do the crossmember bushings, too ? I love the design of the TiC ones; they're just so damn logical. But I didn't find them until after I bought the Whiteline ones. They work the same, though. I'm just seriously impressed with the ingenuity of the TiC ones.

And it looks as though Kartboy now has a pitch mount...

No i didn't do the crossmember bushings....I have a plan to do them soon.

I seen the KB pitch rod the other day...very nice, but 120 was the price I was seeing and I just don't think I want to pay that much....

Which is a shame, since they are OEM parts. How many Group N parts are there ?

    Motor Mounts
    Tranny Mounts
    Pitch Stopper
Suspension Bushings (lateral links, trailing links, control arms etc)
    Strut Tops
What else am I missing ?

And these are all in the SPT catalogue. I know, because I have one sitting on my desk. Although, I have to admit, it doesn't specifically say 'Group N' in the book.

Yeah, kind of expensive, but it *is* pretty. Almost a shame to hide it away under the airbox/intercooler/piping.

The Kartboy pitch rod was/is the subject of a very entertaining OT thread on Nasioc at the moment.

OK, sorry for the delay, but I finally fished these out of the garage. I make no apologies for the Engrish, 'cos this is what it says on the boxes:

    1. Engine Mount LH - D1010FE120
    2. Engine Mount RH - D1010FE110
    3. MTG-Engin RR - D1010FE020
    4. Piting Stopper - D1040FE000

One assumes 3 is the tranny mount and 4 is the pitch stopper.

    So there you have it.

    Bye for now,
    Stuart.

Yup, same part numbers as the newer Imprezas so they will work for older ones as well. Sweet!
