I'm replacing the front door speakers of my WRX with aftermarket ones; just found out the that mounting depth is super shallow, so my aftermarket speakers won't clear the glass. I don't want to use MDF, since it'll fall apart over time.

Is there a local shop somewhere that sell HDPE sheets that's about 1/2" thick?

I was really hoping to find a local company that had this stuff in stock, I've called several hardware stores, no luck.

I just did some remeasuring, and I'm going to need something that's 3/4" thick to get my 2 3/8" depth Pioneer's to clear the window. My last resort will be MDF, but I've had those fall apart before since I couldn't find a good sealer.

I would run it by Gridlocked and see if he doesn't have a suggestion, or something in mind. I contacted him regarding some sound proofing options, and it seems like he's into all kinds of stuff. Otherwise, the guys up at GrimmSpeed (N. MPLS) seem to be pretty resourceful and could probably fabricate something?

    Good luck.
