ok so i was stupid and bought new wheels without buying rings and now i figured out i needed them i want to buy a set...if anyone has a set i'd like to grab it otherwise what size do i need? i have 17" rota torques on a 02' WRX
don't buy them, waste of money....Our contact at Discount will tell you up and down that they are a waste of money...just saying
They're not entirely necessary on lug centric wheels, but if you want them you can get them here: http://www.wheeldude.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=295 or pretty much any tire place. According to Zoeb at Wheeldude.com, Subaru fitment Rotas are only made in 56.1mm hub bore and a 73mm hub bore. So it sounds like you would need a set of 73 to 56.1 rings.
well i didn't think i needed them but i'm getting a wobble at speed and my wheels are perfectly balanced so i'm assuming they will help
beg to differ...you need another contact Don't get the metal ones, POLYCARBONATE is best, it should only be around $10-$15 for a set of 4. I took them out of my current rims and forgot to put them back in and @ around 70 mph your steering wheel will start to shake. I wouldn't play around with this especially only @ $15; spend the cash and be safe.
Why do you say that? The only downside to aluminum rings I've seen in my personal experience is more corrosion as water gets trapped between the hub and the ring. Easily fixed and preventable with a very thin coat of high heat spray paint. Every set of polycarbonate rings I've had have either broken or melted to the hub (of course I'm heating them up more than usual with autocross use). They have worked fine on my daily drivers however.
NORMAL DRIVING CONDITION, now get back to work...I got the aluminum ones and it corrode and can bend in time. Ploycarb is just my preference...but again, I don't drive that often anyways...
