Ive been looking at getting a new downpipe. What is the advantage of getting the divorced waistgate to not getting it? The price difference is about 100 bucks so i figured i'd do a little research and find out. P.S. The names Nick and i live in good old Hastings. Ive posted a bit on here so i figured id just say whats up. Im back for the summer from school in Salt Lake. Driving a silver 05 wrx.
I have an Invidia dp and have no issues, it's a bellmouth design. I've heard if you plan to upgrade your turbo you'll want the bellmouth design. Otherwise, if you stick with the stock turbo you can go with a divorced wastegate design. someone correct me if I'm wrong. If you go with a full downpipe you probably won't notice any difference between the two designs. Most of your gains will come from eliminating the cats. FYI: If you can afford it. the down pipe combined with engine management will make a huge difference. Cobb AP is a nice and easy upgrade.
