I am looking for a legacy that seems to be impossible to find:

1996+ 2.2L or 2.5L with head gasket done (2.2L preferred)
Leather interior with heated seats (must have)
5spd or 4spd auto (manual preferred)
    mileage under 120k
    Good body condition
    Well maintained

Anybody know of any? It has to be Legacy and a sedan.

I am also looking at A4s (horrible reliability) and a few 325xi (mostly out of my price range).

If you have one or know of any for sale, please pm me.

Good body condition is hard to find in MN. (rust)
plus the "Leather interior with heated seats (must have)" limits a ton of options.

A 13 year old car with a clean body and a list of other constraints will indeed be hard to find.

I have a 1998 Legacy 2.5GT, The car spent most of it's life in Cali and is absolutely 100% rust free. I've owned it for almost 3 years and it's been driven in the snow once. 5sp manual, Black Leather, 20% tint, New Tires. There's no motor in it atm, but I have the stock Motor that could go back in it. 129k, It would have new headgaskets, and new timing belt. It's not technically forsale right now, but it could be in there's interest. Let me know what you think.

Ah, some misunderstanding here. When I say 1996+, I mean 1996 - 2004 for example (left out 2005+ as that would be dreaming). :D I threw in 1996 because I would like a 2.2L more than a 2.5L NA motor just because of the head gasket issue. I see a few in CL and one of them is manual as well. My price range is quite varied as you can tell (I won't find a 325xi for a dime just to give a perspective).

See, who said there isn't any available? All you state sounds good. Are you in Duluth? Please PM me with what you are expecting for a price.

^I would add vegas to that list. You can get some cheap flights to vega. There is one for sale up here at a car lot, I will stop in and take a peek for you later today.

Sounds good man. I like soupboy's idea as well. However, with HG issues in these cars I am a little worried about getting on the plane for a car unseen.

There is a nice green one at mankato. It's not leather, but I like the look of that car. Has 68k on it as well.

I went and looked at the one up here. It is in really tough shape and has hail damage and needs tires. I left after that, Did not think you would be intrested. I'll keep an eye out.

For 8k I'd be shopping for h6 outback. Should be possible to find one with milage close to your target. But that might be because I don't know much about H6 reliability (which I would guess to be better than 2.5L) :)
