I have a friend with a 92 SVX he just bought and is having problems with the radio. I was wondering if any one had a working SVX radio lying around they wouldn't mind letting go for about $10 or so. If someone has a radio in questionable working condition, I would be willing to test it for free. I think any radio out of an SVX 92-97 should work. buy an aftermarket one. you can find cheap ones on bizrate and places like that IE last years models etc. becuase subaru has a really generic mounting kit so all you would need is the wiring harness (like you would either way)
Do you have a pic of the radio from the SVX? The reason I ask is that I have the 2-part radio from a T-Leg sitting in my garage. Same year range, same trim level...
the only car that shares the same radio wiring as the SVX is the first gen legacy. So yea, Etchy's will install without any need of a wiring adapter.
