    carl, what about a new shiny/remanufactured block through morries....I heard they are in the $600 area.....IIRC

    I was just told a 2.5 NA remanufactured SB was around 600.....No????

    if worst comes to worst, can you guys at morries work up a price for me on new/re manufactured parts - I basically need everything on the bottom end except for pistons.

    Its a rotating assy with pistons, I think thats it...maybe an oil pump.

    well I don't need the pistons so there's maybe some savings there (or maybe not)

    hopefully I can find some good condition used stuff soon - I only need this motor for maybe 12 races... don't want to put a ton of money into it

    For a NEW 05 EJ253 shortblock its around 1694. Which is just block, pistons, rods, and crank. No oil pump and no water pump IIRC.

    Well i have the blown 2.5 (rod bearing), bilkface has a good crank, maybe you wanna put something together? Oh and ide let it go for the price of my sat-sun ice races stay....

    Well mine has an oil pump and water pump still, All i need off of it is the heads and intake. so there will be lots of extras.
