For my '04 STi. I need the plastic tray that the battery sits in. Mine is torn where the metal hook thing goes in.

Not sure what other model years work. I am guessing any Impreza from '02-'07?

I thought it actually went into the tray. I will take the battery out tonight and have a look. Either way, I can't get the thing to not pop out.

Thanks Carl :)...I will pm you later after I look to confirm that the battery tray is indeed the problem

It's kind of a bastard to get it to hook in - do the rear one first. It hooks to the metal base under the tray.

So, I could have sworn by feeling down there that the tray was torn but, upon further inspection, the hook had pulled through the metal :ugh:

    Dangit

I beleive I will remove the grill/headlight and drill a hole next to it lol.

Not sure how it happened. As long as I can remember, I could only tighten the front a bit or it would pop out. Wasn't a problem until lately, must be the mad g's from autocross, yo! ;)
