WTB:OEM clutch for an 02 WRX(New or Used)

    So, just recently found out that my original clutch with 140,000 is on its way out!:biggrin: 4th and 5th are pretty much gone and 2nd and 3rd are sh1t under load.

    My BIGGEST problem is, it's the damn holidays, and I have a 700 mile round trip to see my family in Iowa this weekend.

    So beings that I have a lack of funds for a NEW clutch($400), my question is, does anyone have one laying around in decent shape, that they would be willing to part with? Anyone do a clutch upgrade and no longer need the stock?

    Please people, I'm desperate here! Please throw any leads you have my way! Thanks-Josh

    Do you know how hard it would be to drive down curvy ass hwy 52 without being "all up in that gas!?"

    It's 365 miles one way! 5 1/2 hours of driving(alone)...to stay away from the powas is HARD...VERY HARD!:mad:

    Mine now haz Mad Bullwinkle tuned stag3 2 p0waz! And you know this!...MAN!



    Either way...it's a sad, sad day. But I am thankful that my clutch made it to 140k.:)

    You can have mine for free. I'm replacing my clutch and flywheel with an ACT setup this weekend. It slips a little under full boost (cobb stage 2), but it has gotten me through rush hour traffic for over a month. It may be better than what you are dealing with. Let me know!

    That is the same thing that mine is doing. Slips under 'load', only when it gets into the boost heavy.

    But it's driving me crazy!! Thanks for the offer though.

    dont boost! you'll make it there and back no problem if you dont boost, you'll get good mileage too!

    I know this 3rik...but driving a car with a turbocharger and not boosting is like having wood and just going to sleep...such a waste.


    Oh yeah, I needs a clutch. Anyone?

    Josh i have my old one if u want it... i dont remember how it drove but it felt like it was starting to slip but it wasnt bad it could have been the gears tho

    Doh! I just ordered a new one from the guys at MAP. Exedy OEM replacement for a good price. But I'm sure you'll be going with something that can withstand your h0rzp0was...and ****ty driving.:laugh:I kid.

    Yup i got it warrentied out... they didnt have any stage 2s made right now so they are sending mw a stage 3 at no cost
