Hey, I'm looking to buy an older (running!) 2.5rs. Show me anything you got I'm not being picky. I have an '05 WRX that I rallied around today and ended up cracking the skid plate and dented the exhaust a wee bit and now I'm sad and want a old beater 2.5 to rally the hell out of :D Manual/auto, white/red/black, whatever. I'll take it if it runs wells and looks atleast decent.

    Good luck with this.

Unfortunatly, the 2.5rs's are fetching a premium.

For your price range, you're going be luck to find a runner.
If it doesnt have to be a 2.5rs, you can pick up a mid 90's impreza l for a very descent price.

    Regardless, best of luck!

Indeed!! you'll be lucky to find a running AWD subaru at all for 2500. The resale value on subarus has spiked quite a bit in the last few years.

We payed $1000 for our haggard, dented on every panel, blown tranny/ diff 99' 2.5RS, and it was easily over $2k by the time we got it up and running in a reliable fashion. So unless you have spare parts to Frankenstein one together, your not gonna get much for $2500.

yeah I know its a bit of stretch especially recently! But I figured I would throw it out there, see if I could get something that maybe only needed minor fixes.
