I know this sounds retarded but I'm looking for something like and older Subaru for trail racing, must be 4WD and fuel injected and would prefer a manual. Something like a 91 Loyale is what I'm looking for, wagons OK, must be $500 or less and in decent running shape, no blown head gaskets or anything like that, maybe a bad alternator or bad brakes I wouldn't mind. Let me know what you guys have thanks. The more rust the better, usually means cheaper.

craigslist is an awesome source. I've always got my eyes open for EA82 subarus for sale. might also want to ask over on www.ultimatesubaru.org not a whole lot of local guys, but they all know what an EA82 is....can't say the same about most of the guys over here :biggrin:
^ i know what the EA82 is. and even a EA81 *gasp* check out ebay. i have seen a few go on there for pretty cheap.
might be hard but get a car with an ea81, my opinion they are the strongest subaru engine, but most of the cars are rusted gone
I found a car I think, 1990 Legacy wagon. You guys who check Craigslist might have seen it, the one called the "Subaru art car" with that paint job it must die.
