should get an older wagon (GL style) and use the Dual range 4wd tranny, with ej power. it would be a monster.
hahaha, no, a little too ugly for what I had in mind. I actually have my eyes on an Outback down in Iowa near my friends place, the guy wants $2500 for it, just needs a tranny. Just thought i'd poke around Mn, see if I can find something closer.
not happy with EJ motors, different tranny bolt pattern have to get an adapter plate. and to give you an idea on the complexity of the wiring, there's a guy talking about making a full wiring harness to make this plug and play....he's talking $350-400  get an EJ-series car, unless you're up to the wiring, in which case, you can get the car for a couple thousand (for a REALLY nice one), put in the Full-time 4WD tranny with dual range and center diff lock, LSD rear, EJ motor, turbo if you so desire, and have the sweetest sleeper ever!!
