I am looking for ONE - used 17" Falken RT-615. I don't have the exact size right now, but if you have ONE that you have with about a "season's worth" of tread left on it, I would like to talk to you. These are on a 2004 STi BBS wheels if that helps.

I have a set with two (maybe three) summers on them and one got a pretty sizable bolt in it and is starting to give me problems so I think it's junk.

If I can't find one in a month or so, the three "decent" tires that I have left will probably pop up in the FS section.

I have 2 - 235/40/17s in my garage with good tread on them. I have a FS thread two years old somewhere on the forum .

Ted, I am thinking about getting a new set here soon. If I do I will have an extra 225/45/17 with about 1 season left on it. I will be ordering in the next week or so if I do, so that I can take advantage of the discounttiredirect deal ($80 off a set of 4, w/ free shipping).

I'm going to piggy back on this one since I just found out I need to replace one.

I need a 215/40R-17 with about a season left too.

So whoever out there who has some used ones sitting around, know that you could unload at least a couple of them

Why would you just replace one tire? Isn't that bad for AWD....

^ if the replacement tire is of the same make/model and has the same amount of wear as the existing tires what is the difference? I would assume this would be a cost effective way to get one more season out of the remaining 3 tires before having to buy new ones anyway.

ya i understand that but i just feel like it would be pretty tough to find the exact same tire, same model tire, same size tire, and the same tread depth that your current tires have.....what do i know tho thats just my opinion

I do see your point. However the RT-615 in a stock STi size is a pretty common tire on MNSubaru.

it's a long shot, but not impossible. I picked up a used Kumho Ecsta AST to match the set I had on my rotas. one of them had a nail in it too near the sidewall to fix. I found one of the correct size and within a few 32nds treadwear on ebay for about $30 shipped.

Well, I decided to buy a new set of 4. Discount tire had the $80 rebate, so I'm getting them for under $100/tire.

So I have 3 215/40R17 RT-615 with one summer on them if anybody needs one.

PM me and I can measure the circumference if you're interested.

My situation is pretty much spot-on with what Dynapar Said. I think we even purchased ours within a few weeks of each other.
