Does anyone have a Crank Pully tool I can borrow? I'm installing a new timing belt this weekend in my '05 2.5L and I am stuck. I didn't realize I needed a special one before I started. I'm in the North East Metro but could drive anywhere to pick one up. I can leave a deposit or whatever you need.

Auto or stick? You don't need a special tool.

Auto. I don't see any other way of getting it off.

Lock the flywheel thru the flywheel/torque converter bolt access hole.

Any run of the mill gear puller should do the job as well.

I've bent a few power steering pump pullies trying to get them off with a gear puller. Honestly, I have no qualms buying the correct tool for the job, even if it isn't neccessary. I just need to find one. I'd rather not risk messing up the crank at all.

Stuck as in the bolt is tight or the crank pulley won't move even when the bolt is out?

The stock crank pulley is steel. if you have the bolt out of it you will not bend it...

I needed to get the bolt out. I made a tool, worked great. Timing belt is all done now.
