i was changing the brakes on the wifes car today and broke both bolts that hold the rear calipers on does anyone have a couple I could buy or where I could get some. its the bolt thats has the rubber cover over it not the 2 big outer bolts. I need the bolts and the piece that they go into. Thanks Rich
^^^ :eek4: ...Both? You too strong for your own good? I'd try the dealer then local autoparts store. might be a special order item. bummer grease them up before you put them back in.
I actually had a similar problem a few years ago when my wife and I were on a road trip. I did the brakes before the trip and didn't tighten the one bolt that actually holds the caliper onto the hub. As we're driving in the middle of South Dakota we hear *TINK* and look at each other. I knew what it was right away. So we get off and get to an auto parts store. They don't have anything for my 96 legacy but they did have a bolt for a Loyale or Justy or something. I said, well let me give it a shot. It worked! I think it cost under 2 bucks and we were back on the road. Oh, BTW, I don't have any in my garage but, I can look around for you.
IMO I think you're better off with NEW ones. is it the one holding the caliper to the caliper bracket?
