**7/22: PARANOIA CORRECTED -- I probably won't need these after all...**

Yup, same guy. Just got under the car for the first time to take a look. Perhaps I'll be replacing the mounts after all. Anyone have some?

Stock would be fine, as long as they're pretty new. I'm only going up to a 20mm bar.

Is there something wrong with the current mounts? The stock 04's are decent mounts. It's the 02-03's that suck.

More like I don't know if I want to chance it. I'm up to 94k miles right now, and the mounts looked pretty well rusted.

I must confess I don't know what the expected lifetime of stock mounts are when put under the additional stress of an aftermarket bar...

Would I for sure be fine keeping the stockers?

    Everything down there gets rust...

To be honest, I would just buy some if the stockers break.

mounts are not a worry. if anything is going to break on the 2004 it would be the rusty bolts. you only really need upgraded mounts if you were installing big sway bars, like 25mm or larger

Excellent. That's what I wanted to hear. But that means this thread is now pointless for everyone else... hehe sorry. No bumps on this one, please.
