are the old school t-leggy rear brakes an upgrade over the wrx's?

I believe they are the same except the revised float pin setup. The t-leggy rotors are vented and wrx 02-05 are not. Someone do correct me if im wrong

Nasioc lists them as an upgrade (due to vented) here:

It might limit your pad choices though. Not looking for much at all for them, let me know

I've got new stoptech pads for the rear of a wrx, they didn't fit my 03 so I don't know what year they are for

Most WRX and RS brakes are the same.... you are way better off going with the solid rotor WRX/RS setup than the legacy turbo vented one for parts reasons. I just spent quite a bit of time finding/buying brakes for my turbo legacy because they are vented. I really don't think they have much more performance than my solid 02 2.5rs rear brakes. If you do upgrade go with the 2 pot 06+ rear calipers/rotors they will be cheaper to find parts for in the future.
