So I finally got my refund from the GOV and I want to buy springs for my V7 STi struts ... what will fit? I kinda wanna get 04 specific Tanabe GF-210's, any other suggestions? Other than Prodrives that are near impossible to get unless someone has a used pair they are getting rid.

If you like Prodrive go for SPT. They're about the same spring rate and way cheaper. I just got SPT for my 02 wrx and love'em. Drop 1.4F & 1.2 R for mine.

Dont know if they'll fit but its a good price+ club discount.

I just put on a set of Crucial Racing springs. They have a very similar drop to Prodrives. They are progressive with a fairly high spring rate, so they ride very nicely daily, but handle the turns very well.

Used on NASIOC. However, I believe there is a group buy going on for new springs right now. Search for threads started by "Crucial Racing."

chet, i thought you liked your ride height?:)

I've installed both crucial and the tanabe gf210. Both are very nice looking, but i think the crucial springs felt a bit softer (stock like) during normal driving.

either way lemme know when you're ready, we can replace that crazy rear strut bolt at the same time.

1.4" front 1.3" rear. I don't know about the rates, but I THINK Dream had these on his old STI, so he may have some input :)

That's as good as you're going to get new. Used pops up here and there. It just depends on if you want the WRX ones, the older STI or the 05+ STI ones. WRX ones are blue and are 175 lb/in front and rear as far as I'm aware. The older STI dropped a little more than the newer STI ones, both somewhere around 200 lb/in. Northursalia has 215 F/ 195R listed for the Prodrive P1 which may be what the STIs are at, don't know.

Dig around, I've seen more than half a dozen up for sale in one form or another in the last week or so.

I've got a used set of 05+ STI ones heading my way as we speak, going on the Forester with some KYB AGX sedan struts.:yumyum:

Shop around. You'll find some if that's what you're interested in...or buy new.
