My brother is looking for one. Have one, want to get rid of it? Name your price. We'll work something out. Thanks for looking.

I think it would be tough to work an sti ecu into an auto?

maybe you would best look for an ecu from an auto wrx, and get a 2.5l short block...

    just a though...

(a "though" is an incomplete "thought")

I am thinking that his plans would most likley include replacing the trans.
Sti swap with an auto trans = Fail :)

would you need a wrx auto trans controler and merge it with an sti ecu?

or.... would it be easier to use a wrx auto ecu and use the sock ecu controler?

The easiest and most cost effective way to do it would be to put a 2.5L STi shortblock in with your WRX heads and ECU/wiring. That way you don't have to mess around with figuring out how to wire up your transmission controls, you don't have to mess around with swapping wiring harnesses and ECUs. Bolt on, get tuned, have fun.

Whatever you say big guy- I just find the idea of runing an auto trans with such an engine swap to be a bad idea. Thanks

QUIET YOU. He's talking out his ass, if you give him information, he'll be informed. I like it better when the misinformed argue their way out of the holes they dig.

Exactly, I am a retard. I just find the idea of using an automatic transmission to be a waste of time, and not enjoyable in any way. Thanks friends! You should be proud of your superior subaru knowlage!

Well, since the OP has an auto tranny and didn't make any mention of swapping the tranny, I think he's fine with his auto tranny. If you find it lame or boring, that's your opinion. But in this situation, it is perfectly acceptable. Maybe his goals for his car are different than yours.

Lol guys! My brother should have the cash for it. I'm sure he's done some research. Just looking at the engine atm. Like I said, He wants something local. He doesn't want to wait. Anyone willing to do it? He's found some guy, but he's willing to throw some cash. LMK. thanks!
