Just sold my WRX tonight, looking for an STi now Not looking to spend more than around 15-16k. Let me know what you've got.
The price seems really low, I can go look at it for you if you like, I work about two miles from this place. I also own the same car.
That's a good price for someone just looking to "get into" an STI. The exterior is clean looking..., but no floor mats, high miles, probly needs tires?, brakes?, timing belt soon? I'm sure you can find a nicer one for a few grand more, but it will be "a few grand more"
That would be awesome! I'm downtown MPLS so it's like 35 minutes away. If you could, it would be greatly appreciated.
Yea I noticed the high miles, that's like averaging almost 20k miles a year. And yea, timing belt would be coming up for sure.
Awesome, thanks man. I'll PM you my number. You can post up what you think on here or give me a call.
That car is not in the greatest condition, I test drove it last week and was less than impressed. There is some rust on the right rear fender by the trunk lid, Windshield is cracked and it wasn't driving straight (I didn't look at it any further). All things the dealer would fix for a "price." I walked away.
No problem, more work than I wanted to start out with on an STI. Good luck finding one, it sucks there are not too many around here that are not salvage rebuilds, or poorly maintained.
I think with some TLC the car would be awsome. The dealer is replacing the cracked windshield today or tomorrow. They had the car in the shop and a guy was cleaning it up. He said that there was a guy that was heading to the bank and would be stopping in today. I don't know how much truth there was to that statement. It has the stock heat shields in place on the stock up down pipe. Everything in the engine compartment looked stock. The interior wasn't too bad, some scratches on the radio. I think it is a good buy for that price, I didn't drive it, so I can't comment on what Trisnin experienced. Turns out that I live right by the guy that owns the place, and I went to highshool with one of the sales guys. I think it is worth taking a look at, hard to find one in that price range without a salvage title.
I'm just getting ready to sell my 06 WRB STI but I'm going to be asking 20,000. Super clean, 32,7xxx miles with a 6yr/60,000 mile Subaru gold zero deducible warranty good til 10/2012. Lots and lots of extras including newer RSI winter tires and basically brand new RE070 summer tires, both on their own set of OEM gold BBSs. I've got a ton more details if you are interested in spending more then you originally posted.
Aw man, this thing has caught my eye for the fun-per-dollar ratio. Anyone ever own one of these? I heard they are a blast to drive. http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/hnp/cto/1567596411.html
Oops, just saw this. I'm really looking to not go over 16k. But if I change my mind, I'll let you know. Love the hawkeyes.
This guy lives like 20 minutes from my dad, so I've been looking at it with interest. I think I've talked him down to $16,500. http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1922495
My brother has a 2006 blue Mini cooper and he just bought a 2006 blue S and hes going to sell the cooper.
we have a cooper convertible and it is fun but no comparison with how much fun an sti is to drive if you want speed/power (esp this time of the year in the snow) imho
Yea I kinda went away from the Cooper S, just not something that would be fun in the winters. I test drove this Evo yesterday though, was really fun. Got me thinking.
Listen to what they are saying about the Evo, the trany sucks, the clutch is a weak. Just be patient and find a STI, the wait will be worth it.
Hey, man I bought Mille Miglia HT3 from you a year ago. I just hit a pot hole and one rim is bent. Will you be able to let me know where I can buy a replacement? Please reply to [email protected].

There is now an Evo VIII in the garage. This thread can be closed. Maybe a year from now it will be for sale. Maybe not. It will be a good experience to now have owned a WRX and an Evo. Let the experiences begin. If anyone on here visits evomn.net, I'll be hanging over there as well with the same screen name.
I've already gotten that about 20 times tonight from friends. Here's one pic, stoked to go wash it up this weekend and take some better photos. And yea, that's a turkey.
Thanks, either way it's a good experience to have owned both. Who knows, this thread may open back up in a year.
by far my favorite color evo. Congrats on the new purchase! I hope you beat the piss out of it and enjoy every second
Nice day out, washed it up and took some photos. http://www.flickr.com/photos/mctenold/sets/72157623403088017/
